what scares you?

It’s been a heck of a week, and I’m not sure about the current status of a lot of things, but I have figured out one thing that’s definitely sure: I’m not in the mood to like machines.

I’ve never really liked machines all that much to begin with, but after working where I worked for the past month, this level of phobia has risen to new heights. I don’t really trust any machine more complicated than a blender, which I will talk about in a future podcast. The interesting thing is that I was reading Wil Wheaton’s blog, and I followed a link he had posted, which was interesting, and that took me to another link, and that took me to another link, where someone had pictures of the car they were building from spare parts, and it freaked me out so much I had to close the browser and sit in a small, dark, quiet room until I was over it.

But it was fun to go through Wil’s blog for a while, because he is a huge gamer, and it was fun to remember some of the fun I used to have. I never played D&D as much as he did, but I spent approximately the GDP of a small Central American nation on Magic cards (which may explain why I have no cash now), and I still have all my dragon dice from ages ago. Fun times.

Heck, I even plan on stopping by Fanfare comics sometime this week. I’m not going to buy anything, because I’m broke, but I’m going to browse my rear end off and enjoy a thoroughly non-mechanical afternoon.
